In 2023 we launched our podcast; This is Not
What I was Expecting.
Since then we have amassed an audience of
parents who feel seen and less isolated after
listening to us discuss our lived experiences.
My FSP is extremely helpful. I
would like to give her props for
her hard work and determination.
She understands how important
family really is.

Our staff sat on systemic focused committees
and councils to make sure that progress does
not stop at 1:1 support. We want systemic
change that helps Pennsylvania children
thrive!

children are struggling, and how impactful
parent peer support can be.

Are Heard
Our FSP was definitely a great advocate
for our family. She ALWAYS gave us the
support we needed to get through the
day, week or month. She gave us
awesome resources as well. We really
appreciate her so much!!!

Our goal is to meet parents where they are at,
and in 2023 parents were watching a whole
lot of videos to learn more about the
challenges their children are facing.
Over 20 thousand of them found that
education in a video created by our staff.

When we start to notice a pattern of parents
dealing with the same challenge we set out
on a mission. We aim to get them and the
providers that work with their children, the
information they need - when they need it.
Over the course of 2023 we hosted webinars,
and online classes on a wide array of topics
that impact children who struggle with their
mental health.

Parents in rural communities often have so
much less access to mental health services
for their children.
That is why in partnership with BHARP and
Youth Move we hosted the Together We
Thrive Conference as a way to help educate
parents and connect them to resources and
one another.
